Members advice page

The Norwich Engineering Society(NES) has many wise and knowledgeable engineers/scientists amongst its membership. The aim of this page is to set up a system to enable us to pick each others brains and hand it on to others.

There are many ways this can be achieved. We could set up an open completely interactive forum. At the moment this will need a bit of work being done to prevent misuse so perhaps something a little less ambitious needs to be set up to start with.

What we are going to try out is a system whereby the member requiring information contacts one of the NES Council Executive Team via email. The contacted member then, possibly with the help of other members of the NES, seeks out the required information and posts a reply back. If the council member feels that the answer is of general interest and, if the original querier is agreable, the original query and the response will be posted on the response page.

Another source of valuable information is via other websites so another feature will be that over time we will build up some useful websites. These will be acquired from a wide range of sources including you the membership. Not every website will be posted and will only be there after careful consideration by Council and the contents of the website pages will be kept under continous review. So if you know of a website that you think will be of interest to other members of the NES please contact us.
